The electric version of the Nexon is scheduled to make its debut on September 7, 2023.
The 2023 Tata Nexon will be offered in 4 trim levels – Smart, Pure, Creative & Fearless. The new model has received significant design changes and an all-new interior; however, the engine options won’t receive any significant upgrade. The SUV gets an all-new front fascia which is inspired from the Currv SUV Coupe concept that debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo. It comes with a new sleeker grille, LED DRLs on top and vertically stacked LED projector headlamps on the lower bumper. It has an all-new rear profile, featuring a new tailgate and new LED tail-lights with a connected light bar.
The 2023 Tata Nexon comes with an all-new interior with a completely revised dashboard layout and new interior scheme. It gets a new 2-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. The SUV features a revised upholstery and a touch-based panel for climate controls, hazards and lock & unlock buttons. The updated SUV gets a 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument console. The SUV comes fitted with 6 airbags, a 360 degree camera, six airbags, ABS with EBD and front parking sensors.
The 2023 Tata Nexon is offered with two engine options – a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel. While the former is good for 120PS and 170Nm of torque, the diesel engine produces 115PS and 260Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT & a 7-speed DCT. The diesel gets 6 MT & AMT, while the petrol is offered with all 4 gearbox options.
The new Nexon is expected to be priced around Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. It will rival the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300 and others in the segment.
