Ather Energy has introduced three new electric scooters in the country, namely the 450S and two 450X models with distinct battery packs and features. The Ather 450S is priced at Rs 1,29,999, while the 450X with the 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh batteries costs Rs 1,38,000 and Rs 1,44,921, respectively. All the mentioned prices are ex-showroom prices in Bengaluru. Let’s delve into the key details of these three new Ather electric scooters.
Ather 450S
The new 450S variant is offered with two battery options – 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh – providing ranges of 111km and 150km, respectively. Both battery packs are connected to a 6.4kW electric motor. It has an electronic speed limit of 90kmph and takes 8 hours and 36 minutes to reach a full charge. The 450S is equipped with a new 7.0-inch DeepView Display.
Ather 450X – 2.9kWh
This e-scooter comes with a 2.9kWh battery pack and a 5.4kW motor. The setup promises a range of 115km on a single charge and can achieve a top speed of 90kmph. Its battery pack can be charged in 8 hours and 36 minutes. This variant features a 7.0-inch touchscreen instead of the DeepView Display.
Ather 450X – 3.7kWh
The 450X with a larger battery pack and a 6.4kW electric motor delivers a claimed range of 150km. This variant can be charged in five hours and 45 minutes. Its top speed is the same as the 450S and 450X (2.9kWh) – i.e., 90kmph. It is also equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen unit.
New Ather Electric Scooters – Common Features
All three variants utilize telescopic front forks and a monoshock suspension unit. Braking power is provided by single front and rear disc brakes. The e-scooters also feature a combined and regenerative braking system. These models are equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels fitted with 90/90 front and 100/80 rear tubeless tires. Some design highlights include the apron-integrated LED headlight, handlebar cowl-mounted turn indicators, and sharp side creases.
Pro Pack and Riding Modes
The new Ather electric scooters are offered with the Pro Pack, which costs an additional Rs 20,000. This package includes features such as coasting regen, ride stats, guide-me-home lights, theft notifications, navigation, and inter-city parking. While the Ather 450S offers four riding modes – SmartEco, Eco, Ride, and Sport, the 450X variants have five riding modes – SmartEco, Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp.
