Yamaha YZF R3
Japanese two-wheeler maker, Yamaha is now ready to re-introduce the YZF R3 motorcycle in the Indian market. The 2023 Yamaha R3 comes with cosmetic changes in the form of sleek LED indicators and a new purple colour. Powering the new R3 is a liquid-cooled, 321cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 42bhp at 10,750rpm and a peak torque of 29.5Nm at 9,000rpm. Based on the diamond frame, the new R3 gets a 37mm USD front forks and preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. It gets a slipper clutch, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS and an LCD display.
Yamaha MT-03
Not just R3, Yamaha will introduce the MT-03 naked streetfighter in the Indian market. The new motorcycle is most likely to come as a CBU; however, the CKD operations could begin in near future. It is powered by the same 321cc, parallel-twin engine that powers the R3. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, the liquid-cooled engine produces 42bhp and 29.6Nm of torque. The motorcycle has LED projector headlights with LED DRLs, muscular fuel tank with sharp creases, USD front forks and monoshock at the rear. It gets 298mm front and 200mm single rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 110/70 and 140/70 section tyres at front and rear respectively.
Aprilia RS440
The Aprilia RS440 is currently in its final stages of testing & development. The spy images reveal that the motorcycle shares styling cues from the bigger RS660. It comes with split LED headlights, a large windscreen, clip-on handles, split seat and grab rails. It is likely to be powered by a 440cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine with a power output close to 48bhp. The motorcycle will have a top speed of 180kmph. Paired to a six-speed gearbox, the powertrain will benefit from a slipper clutch and quickshifter. It will have a digital TFT screen, smartphone connectivity and dual-channel ABS. The Aprilia RS400 will have USD front forks and monoshock at the rear.
