Now, we have a clear glimpse of the upcoming 2023 Tata Nexon facelift, in advance of its official launch scheduled for September 14, 2023. This marks the second substantial transformation for the Nexon since its initial introduction to the Indian market. The subcompact SUV is poised to undergo extensive enhancements encompassing design, features, and engine dynamics. Here are five significant modifications set to grace the interior and exterior of the forthcoming Nexon facelift:
Revised Variant Naming
In contrast to the existing lineup consisting of X, XE, XM, XM+, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux trims, the upcoming 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will introduce a fresh nomenclature. This iteration will encompass Smart, Smart+, Smart+ (S), Pure, Pure (S), Creative, Creative+, Creative+ (S), Fearless, Fearless (S), and Fearless+ (S) trims. It’s worth noting that the ‘+’ designation signifies the availability of optional packages, while the ‘(S)’ designation indicates the inclusion of a sunroof feature.
Curvv-Inspired Design Elements
Drawing inspiration from the Tata Curvv concept, which made its debut at this year’s Auto Expo, the revamped Nexon will embrace the brand’s forward-looking design language. Previewing the design evolution, the latest series of spy images verify that the 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will showcase freshly designed LED headlamps with a distinctive split setup and Y-shaped LED taillamps interconnected through a luminous light bar. Additionally, Audi-inspired turn indicators grace the rear section. Notably, the front and rear bumpers have been subject to revisions, and the compact SUV boasts a novel ensemble of alloy wheels. New Info Unit and Instrument Cluster
The upcoming 2023 Tata Nexon is set to debut a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, offering seamless compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In tandem, a state-of-the-art fully digital driver’s display will make its presence felt. Reflecting the design cues from the Curvv concept, the Nexon facelift will sport a new two-spoke steering wheel, complete with an illuminated emblem at its center. Touch-based climate controls are part of the package, and a redesigned dashboard will be enhanced by leatherette cladding on the lower portion and adorned with purple upholstery.
Elevated Safety Measures
A notable stride towards heightened safety comes in the form of a 360-degree camera system and the inclusion of six airbags. The Nexon facelift will uphold existing safety features such as rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, Isofix child seat anchorage, hill hold assist, electronic stability program, traction control, rear defogger, tire pressure monitoring system, and cruise control.
Powerful Turbo-Petrol Engine, DCT
Detailed specifications for the new Nexon will be officially unveiled in the coming weeks. However, preliminary reports suggest that the model will harness Tata’s all-new 1.2L turbo-petrol engine paired with a sophisticated 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (DCT). Notably, the prevailing 1.5L diesel engine will endure from the pre-facelift version.
