TVS Motor Company has finally introduced the much-awaited new performance-oriented electric scooter at an event in Dubai. Called TVS X, the new electric scooter draws inspiration from the Creon concept that debuted at the 2018 Auto Expo. The new electric scooter is priced at Rs 2.50 lakh. Bookings for the new TVS X has started tonight, while deliveries will begin from December this year in a phased manner
The new TVS X electric scooter is built on the brand’s new XLETON platform. It gets a maxi-scooter like styling, which also has some styling cues of the Creon concept. The TVS X features a radical twin spar-style aluminium frame. The rear suspension setup takes the form of an offset monoshock.
The electric scooter comes with a new permanent magnet motor which draws power from a 4.44kWh battery pack. The scooter delivers a claimed 105kmph of top speed. It is claimed to achieve 0 to 40kph acceleration in just 2.6 seconds. The battery can be charged from 0 to 50 percent in just an hour with a 3kW fast charger. The battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 3 hours 40 minutes with 950-Watt regular charger. The scooter has multiple riding modes and Xonic is the most powerful ride mode. It gets anti-lock braking system and cruise control as well.

The new TVS X electric scooter comes equipped with a colour 10.2-inch panoramic TFT screen, which can be adjusted based on the rider’s choice. The scooter uses an all-new on-board navigation system, which is called the NavPro. The display also has an entertainment system called PlayTech, which will allow user to watch reels, play games and more, while on halt. What’s interesting is that the new TVS X scooter is claimed to offer an industry-first live vehicle location sharing feature.
It supports Bluetooth connectivity and music playback controls. The scooter also supports smartwatch connectivity, which offers few controls. Customers can lock and unlock the underseat boot, locking/unlocking the handlebar and multiple safety & security features.
